Forest Canopy -FO!

I finally finished the Forest Canopy Shoulder Shawl, which I started (wait, let me look that up) in February of 2007. Yeesh, I had no idea I'd had it on the needles that long! However, in my defense, there was NO knitting of anything around here last summer. So it just lay around for a few months waiting for cold weather.

I debated and debated about doing an extra repeat before starting the border (I had plenty of yarn), but I mainly just wanted to get it finished, so I skipped any extra repeats and finished it up.
Blocking:
Casually tossed in a wood bowl (no, really):
Classic draped across the back of the chair shot:
The bowl pic is probably the most true to color. I pulled it off the blocking board this morning and wore it to church! Perfect for our kinda drafty worship service (since we're currently meeting in the gym while our new sanctuary is being built).

This is so pretty! I wish I knew how to knit, but knitting and crocheting are greek to me!

This amazes me. For someone who doesn't know how to do any of it, all I see is artistry and magic.

Well done...all your photos slay me!

Thanks for the compliments! I've enjoyed wearing it...it's really quite warm to throw over my shoulders. I'll probably knit this again.
